Effects of Different Seed Beds on The Yield and Quality Characteristics of The Sorghum Sudan Grass VarietiesKeywords: Sorgum sudan otu, ikinci ürün,toprak i?leme, yem bitkisi Abstract: This research was conducted in ?umra Town of Konya City under irrigated conditions for one year (2014) to determine effects of different soil tillage methods (stubble, plow and rotatilary) on yield, some yield and quality characteristics of sorghum sudanense cultivars (Aneto, Greengo, Nutrihoney and Sugargraze ll). Results of the study showed the following values for the mean of tillage methods and sorghum sudanense varieties; 228.60 - 262.73 cm for plant height, 9.13 - 11.13 for number of leaves per plant, 14.06 - 17.56 mm for stem diameter, 116.22 - 160.11 g for plant weight, 17.78 - 27.22 g for leaf weight, 11.67% - 20.33% for leave ratio, 7038.33 - 9400.67 kg da-1 for green forage yield, 23.33% - 33.00% for dry matter ratio, 1794.67 - 2581.00 kg da-1 for dry hay yield, 7.13% - 8.09% for protein ratio and 130.67 - 194.00 kg da-1 for protein yield. According to the results, due to the investigated characteristics of leaf weight (27.22 g), green forage yield (8811.78 kg da-1), dry hay yield (2346.78 kg da-1) and protein yield (178.44 kg da-1) the Greengo variety was obtained as promising genotype. Soil tillage methods were statitistically unsignificant
