Effect on Reduction of Tax Non Smoking Addiction in Turkey

Recently, the issue of reducing cigarette consumption and combating cigarette addiction has become even more important. Due to the negative externalities caused by smoking, the amount of cigarette consumption is increasing despite the regulations on reducing cigarette addiction. The National Tobacco Control Program has adopted a policy of increasing taxes as a tool to prevent smoking. As a substantially one-fourth SCT in Turkey are obtained from tobacco products This study emphasizes the importance of combating cigarette addiction and emphasizes the necessity of combating addiction as well as increasing tax rates in reducing tobacco use.
