Thepurpose of thisstudywasthefamily of marriedwomenliving in ruralareas do not show a variety of familyfunctions is toexaminetheimpact of compliancelevels of marriage.Anotherpurpose of thestudy is toexaminethelevel of maritaladjustmentandthelevel of familyfunctioning of marriedwomenliving in ruralareas; educationstatus, duration of marriage, type of marriageandnumber of children. The model of theresearchwas a descriptiverelationalscreening model andappropriatesamplingmethodwasusedfornon-randomsamplingmethods in thestudy. Theuniverse of theresearch is composed of marriedwomenliving in ruralareas of Samsun province. Thesampleconsists of 150 marriedwomenliving in ？atkaya, Uzgur, ？ivril andKus？uluvillages of Ilkad？mdistrict of Samsun. Intheanalysis of thedata, PearsonCorrelationCoefficient, One-WayAnovaandMultipleRegressionanalysiswereused. As a result of theresearch, it wasconcludedthatthere is a positiverelationbetweenmaritaladjustmentandfamily problem function. It has alsobeenfoundthatthe problem-solvingfunction of thefamilies has a significantpredictor of maritaladjustment.Accordingtoanotherresult of theresearch; thelevels of fulfillment of the general functions of marriedwomenliving in ruralareas, andthelevels of emotionalreaction, role andcommunicationfulfillmentaremoderatelypositive; there is also a lowlevel of positivecorrelationwiththelevel of performingtherequireddemonstration, behaviorcontroland problem solvingfunctions.
