INVESTIGATION OF RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN EARLY MALADAPTIVE SCHEMAS AND SOCIAL APPEARANCE ANXIETYKeywords: Sosyal g?rünü? kayg?s?,erken d?nem uyumsuz ?emalar,üniversite ??rencileri Abstract: The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between early maladaptive schemas and social appearance anxiety. The study was conducted in a relational screening model. The study group consists of 381 university students, 273 female and 108 male, aged between 17-31 years. The Social Appearance Anxiety Scale and the Young Schema Scale were used to collected of data. Relationships between variables were examined by correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. According to findings of the study, all early maladaptive schemas were found to be statistically significant and positive in relation to social appearance anxiety. On the other hand, the regression analysis showed that social appearance anxiety was significantly predicted by emotional deprivation, weakness, obedience, confirmation seeking, justice and pessimism in university students
