Investigation of the Heavy Metal Condition in the Soil of the Cherry Garden Depending on Distance of the SettlementKeywords: Toprak,Kiraz bah?esi,A??r metal,Kirlilik,Lapseki Abstract: In this study, it is aimed to investigate the Cd, Cu, Pb and Zn of cherry garden soil of depending on the distance from the settlement in Lapseki. The soil samples were collected from two different depths (0-30 cm and 30-60 cm) of the gardens which were made of cherry and located at various distances (0-250-750 m) to the settlement center. According to the results, the Cd and Zn concentrations in the soil samples were normal in terms of agricultural production. When all samples were taken into consideration in the study, it was determined that Cu was above normal values and accumulation at all distances and depths. In this study, the difference of Cu concentration between two depths was found to be statistically significant. Although Pb concentrations did not differ in terms of soil depth in the study, the difference between the samples taken from depending on the distance from the settlement was statistically significant. The concentration of Pb increased significantly as it approached the site of settlement. The increase is the result of human activities such as emissions due to traffic, industrialization and heating, occurring in the settlement
