Obesity, inadequateand unbalanced diet, physical inactivity is important in the development of type 2 DM.Recent studies examine the relationship between changes in intestinal microbiota andobesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease (CVD) and other diseases. Supplementation orconsumption of dietary probiotics products (such as fermented milk products) that affecting microbiota shows a positive effect on blood glucose regulation and insulin resistance. The results of studies that are examined the effect of probiotics and prebioticson blood glucose regulation, insulin resistance and diabetes may vary in the literature.This subject is expected to clarify with long term human studies.
