Schopenhauer’s Perspective About Sports Publications in the Context of Recreational Activities

In this article, recreational activities are discussed in Schopenhauer's philosophical understanding. The ways of evaluating individuals' free time are included in the recreation area as a scientific discipline. Unless it is transformed into performance sport, both sportive activities and sports watchers are considered to be recreational activities. This article discusses the theoretical debates on the literature review; the most external framework is structured within the scope of philosophical view, recreation activities in the context of scientific literature, and more specifically in the context of sports broadcasting. With this approach from general to special; how a philosophical point of view can be reflected to the life-related issues with the support of the scientific literature is tried to be explained through sports broadcasting. In the research, it was concluded that an approach based on philosophical baseline would not contradict with the basic issues related to recreational activities and sports broadcasts. It has been concluded that the studies based on intellectual depth can contribute significantly to the fields of recreation and publishing, as well as in all fields of science
