Traces of Classic Realistic / Traditional Novel in Modernist Fiction: Yaseminler Tüter mi, Hala? Keywords: Modernizm,Modernist Roman,Geleneksel Roman,Yaseminler Tüter mi Hala Abstract: The trend of modernism in the 20th century comes into being as a result of universal changes in science and technology, as well as the disappearance of the objectivity of reality. The effects of this change in the understanding of reality are not limited to science and technology, but also art and literature are reflected. The novel, one of the most important products of literature, is influenced by the change of reality, since it is seen as a ground embodied by the literary world from the moment it has appeared. Modernist novel is a manifestation of this interaction. Modernism, which has left the traditional understanding in Turkish novels under great influence, in some fictions, tradition is completely abandoned, but in others it sees traditional elements as a richness to itself and does not try to isolate novels from them. Alev Alatli's "Yaseminler Tüter mi, Hala?" is one of the modernist edited historical novels which continue to embrace the traditional approach in terms of time, narrator and point of view. We will try to examine this novel, which is a modernist fiction in our work, in terms of the elements in question in order to show that it has not moved away from the tradition
