Physician Me?med bin A?med bin ?brāhīm bin ?asan of Edirne who was at the service of the Indian Sultan and his contributions to Turkish translation of Bur? al-sā?aKeywords: Rāzī,Me?med b. A?med,Tercüme-i Bur?u’s-sā?a Abstract: The life and works of Me?med bin A?med bin ?brā?īm bin ?asan of Edirne and his contributions to Rhazes’s Bur?u?s-sā?a while translating it into Turkish were determined. It can be seen that Rhazes’ Arabic text was written in red and the Turkish translation was in black color and both with vowel mark in the copy named Hac? Mahmud Efendi, nr. 5569 of Tarjama Bur? al-sā?a. In the translation Me?med bin A?med made additions sometimes before and sometimes after the main text. Arabic titles in the translated text was written in red, and Turkish titles were in black right after them. It is found that in Bur? al-sā?a Rhazes had not mentioned much about the etiology of diseases, but some treatment offers to cure the diseases rapidly. Me?med bin A?med kept Rhazes’s text the same in the Turkish translation but added sometimes disease definitions, etiologies, differential diagnoses, additions explaining these, a few recommendations regarding preventive medicine mostly to the beginning of each chapter and occasionally into the text as necessary, most probably as he thought them deficient. He also proposed additional treatments to Rhazes’s. It is clear that his contributions to the work were made within the humoral pathology framework
