Determination and Molecular Characterization of Cucumber Mosaic Virus (CMV) Infection on Spinach Production Fields of ？anakkale Province, Turkey

For the determination and characterization of Cucumber mosaic virus(CMV) infection in spinach production fields of ？anakkale province and its districts, surveys were carried out in the production season of 2016？2017. Sixty-six spinach samples showing virus and virus-like symptoms were collected. The collected spinach samples were tested by DAS-ELISA tests for the presence of CMV. Four samples out of collected sample were found to be infected by CMV in the result of DAS-ELISA tests. One isolate (CNK21) among samples infected by CMV was chosen, randomly and molecular characterization of CNK21 was performed. As a result of molecular characterization works, CNK21 isolate showed identities 87？98% and 91？99% with the World CMV isolates at nucleotide and amino acid level, respectively.
