Time in the HereafterKeywords: Zaman,Ahiret,Yevm,Ahkab,Cennet sabah?,Sonsuzluk,HAyat Abstract: The definition of time is one of the most important problems of philosophy from primevald days to the present and it is still an issue discussed. Muslim philosophers and scholars of Ilmu’l-Kalam have also been involved in this discussion. Time is also an important concept for religions. Religions have rituals and beliefs concerning the time in the world we live in. Time is of particular importance for religions that adopt the belief in the Hereafter as an imperative doctrine. In the Qur’an and Sunnah, which are the sources of the Islamic religion, where belief in the Hereafter is seen as compulsory creed, it is seen that there are words that express time when the other world is told. This brings to mind the problem of whether there is time in the Hereafter when we consider the eternity of the Hereafter and the time counted together. In the religious texts of Islam, temporal expressions such as day, morning, evening, year and ahqab were pronounced while giving information about the processes related to the hereafter. It is necessary to accept that there is time in the Hereafter if the texts in which these words are mentioned are literally understood. However, since the realm of the Hereafter is a new creation after the destruction of the world order with the doomsday, it makes it impossible to understand the expressions of time in the texts with the meanings we know. It is also possible to bring evidence in the rational sense by taking into account the fact that time can and should be present in the Hereafter
