Methods: The main outcome measures of the study were Unit Coordination Performance Scale and Inter-Unit Coordination Level Scale scores. The data of the study were collected from 258 participants who had fixed positions in a private hospital. The data were collected by the Unit Coordination Performance Scale (22 items) evaluating hospital targets at the unit level and the effectiveness of the coordination mechanisms and the 37-item Inter-Unit Coordination Level Scale assessing the coordination level between the different units (groups, teams, units, etc.)? in the hospital. Scoring was done in a five-point likert style. Results: 66% of the participants (n = 170) were female, the majority of them had high school (34%; n= 88), pre-license (29%; n = 74) and bachelor's degree (24%; n = 64) education, 40% (n = 102) were in the 26-35 years age group. The Cronbach α reliability coefficient was calculated as 0.754 for the Unit Coordination Performance Scale and 0.962 for the Inter-Unit Coordination Level Scale. The Unit Coordination Performance Scale items were grouped under three factors explaining 62.4% of the total variance. The Inter-Unit Coordination Level Scale was grouped under seven factors explaining 72.9% of the total variance. It was found that the variable that most positively affected the achievement of the unit targets was the Adaptation factor. Coordination models and the factors forming these models have been found to have interactions with each other both in mutual, multiple, concordant, and discordant ways. Conclusion: In this research, scales that can be used to evaluate organizational coordination in an inclusive manner have been developed, tested in an organizational environment and the scope of coordination has been shown to have an effect on institutional outcomes in a health institution. Thus, this study serves as a basis for the management of complex systems such as hospitals to ensure effective coordination, which is difficult to implement in reality
