The Evaluation of the Relationship Between Alcohol and Forensic Cases Admitted to Eski？ehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Medicine Department of Forensic Medicine

It is the duty of the physicians who work in the emergency to determine and report the alcohol level at the first moment in cases of forensic traumatology which alcohol has a role to happen. In this study, it is aimed to emphasize the importance of alcohol levels in forensic cases. This study was made with the retrospective analysis of forensic reports of forensic traumatological cases and forensic reports which was sent by the judicial authorities for the forensic report between the dates (01.01.2018-30.06.2018) at Eski？ehir Osmangazi University Department of Forensic Medicine. No information was found about alcohol level measurement in 120 (55,3%) of 217 patients admitted to the study during the study period. Alcohol wasn't detected in 85 (87.6%) of the 97 patients who had alcohol level measurement and alcohol was detected in 12 (12.4%) this 97 patients. In our study, more than half of the forensic reports from emergency departments (55 %) did not have any information about alcohol.
