The Hadiths Portrayed on The Walls of Sherif Halil Pasha Mosque in Shumen

Approximately 2356 mosque-masjids were built in the territory of Bulgaria during the Ottoman period. While many mosques were destroyed and abolished in the course of time, Sherif Halil Pasha Mosque (Tombul Mosque), the crown of Shumen city, has been functioning since its foundation (1744). The hadith texts on the walls of the said mosque still preserve their originality.
