Crop Necrosis in a Pigeon and Its Surgical Treatment

The crop is a swollen organ which is on esophagus of birds and where the food is collected. In this study, our case was a pigeon which was found in the street and brought to the Animal Hospital of F？rat University with the complaint that the food eaten had passed from the neck area to the outside. In this pigeon crop's necrosis was detected. The necrotic crop was removed by operative procedure. Postoperative examination and follow-up showed that the health status of the pigeon improved and healed completely
