KASHMIR IN THE DIVAN POETRY

Divan poetry has extensive contents for poetic imagination. Two contents of them are countries Divan poetry has extensive contents for poetic imagination. Two contents of them are countries and cities. In the divan poetry, which is belong to the common Islamic culture, East’s countries and cities are more common than other countries and cities. One of cities which is related to divan poetry is Kashmir. Middle Ages’ famous city Kashmir is used in the divan poetry because of it’s features by divan poets. Poets formed different noun phrases and imaginations in lyric poems by Kashmir. In this article, we want to reveal Divan poets’ Kashmir image and we want to understand Kashmir’s meaning in the divan poetry. We will research only Ottoman Empire area’s poets. In the end of our research, we found 49 couplets; so, we will investigate these couplets
