Examination of the Self-Efficacy of Undergraduate Students in Tourism Education in terms of Academic Achievement and Individual CharacteristicsKeywords: ?z yeterlik,akademik ba?ar?,turizm e?itimi Abstract: who are receiving tourism education differs according to their individual characteristics and academic achievement levels. A questionnaire is used as a data collection instrument. General Self-Efficacy Scale is used which was developed by Sherer et al. (1982) and the validity and reliability in Turkish was tested by Y?ld?r?m and ?lhan (2010), to measure students’ self-efficacy levels. The population of the study consists of students who are studying tourism at the undergraduate level. A total of 514 questionnaires were analyzed. In addition to the percentage and frequency analyzes, the hypotheses of the study were tested by using independent samples t test and Anova analysis. According to the study results, it is found that the self-efficacy levels of the participants showed a significant difference according to the graduated high school, the desire to study in the department and the membership status to the student societies. In addition, there is no significant difference between the students’ general self-efficacy and academic achievement levels (p>0,05). However, considering the total self-efficacy values, as the academic achievement levels of students increase, their general self-efficacy scores have also increased
