Sources of Kurdish Culture in ‘’Noura Qalban’’

’Noura Qalban’’ is a Qur’an’s tafseer written in Kurdish language by Mullah Muhammad Shoshiki (Mihemedê ？o？ik？). It was published by N？bihar composed of six volumes. Since it’s a Qur’ans tafseer, includes a complete Kurdish translation of the Holy Quran and Kurdish translation of some hadiths and Arabic tafseers. Except this it has got Kurdish sources like poems, proverbs, idioms etc. The subject of this study is making use sources of Kurdish culture in this tafseer. By the term ‘’the sources of Kurdish culture’’ we mean poems, proverbs and idioms in Kurdish language. The author, in certain parts of the book, uses some Kurdish idioms and proverbs to make the meaning more clear and understandable
