REVOLUTION IN RUSSIA, IMMIGRANT AND EKBER KAZIM MU？AN

In the 19th century, there was huge migration movement through to Ottoman lands. Russia started to conquer Turkish and Muslim regions and also applied centralist policies on these minorities which lead to migration to the Ottoman Empire. In the first quarter of the 20th century, tsarist regime in the Russia was fallen and a new regime was established in Russia. After the tsarist regime fall, civil war began in the Russia. During this civil war between 1917 and 1920, it is estimated that two or three billion people left Russia. Turks who migrate from Russia mostly lived in Caucasia and they came to Turkey with Turkish army whey they started to retreat. Ekber Kaz？mbeyov and ？brahim Safi also came to Turkey with these people. After Ekber Kaz？m Mu？an came to Turkey, he was mayor between 1930 and 1934, after this, he worked as an art teacher in Kars High School in 2 years. He studied Law in Moscow and also Painting and Sculpture as fine art. It is claimed that, he also studied Law in Kiev and Fine Arts in Petrograd same years. His teachers were the famous Russian painters, Kazimir Malevich and Leonid Pasternak. After he came to Turkey, he also labored bee culture in Ardahan in many years. Ekber Kaz？m Mu？an came to Istanbul in 1966 and died 1972. Pamukbank Suadiye Art Gallery organized a exhibition for his works in between 4th April and 2nd May 1986.
