The Mediation Role of The Development of Personality Trait in The Effect of Job Independence on Satisfaction in The Work Itself: An Application in The Private SectorKeywords: ?? ?zellikleri,?? Tatmini,Ki?ilik,Geli?ime A??kl?k Abstract: It is argued in the literature that the job characteristics is an important factor for job satisfaction which gives positive results for the organization. It has been stated that personality traits has been an important factor for job satisfaction as well as job characteristics then should be taken into consideration for job satisfaction. In this context, in this study, the role of personality traits in the effect of job characteristics on job satisfaction was examined. Within the scope of the study, within the scope of the job characteristics, "the work that allows independence"; within the context of job satisfaction, "satisfaction of the job itself"; within the scope of the personality traits, "openness to development" were taken into consideration as the sub-dimensions. The data were collected via the surveys from 622 employees in the private sector, providing services in the defense industry. According to findings; openness to development plays the mediator role on the effect of the job characteristics on the job satisfaction
