Gerontology Atlas in Turkey: Results on Old Age Poverty and LonelinessKeywords: ya?lanma,GeroAtlas,yoksulluk,ya?l?l?k,yaln?zl?k Abstract: Aim: Turkey is getting older and the proportion of older people in the community is increasing. In this article, results of Nazilli Panel Survey which conducted between years of 2010-2012 within Turkey Geroatlas Research Project will be shared. Within the scope of the research, it is tried to reveal the situation related to poverty and loneliness, which are important risks in old age period. Material and Methods: The study conducted with a sample of 477 people aged 60 and over. Results: 70.4% of the sample demands a change in their living condition. Female participants have significantly disadvantaged economic situation compared to males. 90% of the sample declared that importance of family remains the same. 78% of the participants state that neighborhood and family relations have decreased in old age. Conclusions: As a result, it can be said that loneliness and poverty present an important risk in old age period, in order to solve this risk, retirement policies should be rearranged and scientific and applied studies about old age should be supported
