Almost all therapy schools, especially psychoanalytic therapies, have a few rules and bases that are more or less similar. Some of these rules and bases include matters that the client and the therapist should pay attention to regarding the therapy process. At the beginning of the therapy period, some rules which are written or verbally notified to the client and these rules are referred to as "therapeutic framework" . The therapeutic framework is an important instrument that can be used in the analysis of the process client, as well as determining the rules that a therapist should follow in a psychotherapy session. A psychotherapist has a lot of questions about his new mentor to the therapist. The personality structure of the counselor, character, circles, mental health comes first. The answer to all these questions is often hidden in harmony or incoherence, which is often agreed upon at the beginning of therapy. Many situations, such as forgetting the day and time of the session, canceling the various occasions, canceling the sessions, late arriving, not paying are important items to be worked through during the process, giving important tips to the therapist. In this study, the therapeutic framework term, the purpose of the therapeutic framework, the necessity, the functions and the points to be considered in the application of the therapeutic framework are emphasized. In addition, today, the therapeutic framework has been examined in terms of four major psychoanalytic theories (impulse-conflict theory, object relational theory, self psychology, abandonment depression theory) that are popular in the world today. Between theoretical perspectives, differences and common ideas are revealed. Literature review and field research were used in the study. Especially in recent years, new publications on psychotherapy of personality disorders have been an inspiration to give importance to this issue and provide detailed information. As part of the fieldwork, analytical-oriented clinical psychologists and psychiatrists have been interviewed for at least ten years of psychotherapy work. The information in the literature is presented by blending the views and experiences of field experts. This work was intended to contribute to a wide range of individuals, from beginning practitioners, researchers, experienced clinicians, to clients wondering about the therapy process
