Abstract:

The Syrian territory, which was included in the Ottoman borders during the reign of Yavuz Sultan Selim, was occupied by the British and then the French in the First World War, and the Ottoman government lost the this territory in 1918 Mondros ceasefire agreement. This territory was left to the French mandate by The secret agreement between entente states Sykes-Picot. This region remained under the influence of the French until it gained independence in 1946. After the Liberation War, border problems with Syria was occured, such as the Turks in Syria. The most important problem is Hatay issue. Turkey, have kept the issue on the agenda of Hatay, Turkey has continued to struggle to be given to Turkey.In this study, Atatürk Period Turkish-Syrian relations and the agreements with Syria and is especially more widely discussed issue of Hatay
