EXAMINATION OF RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PERFECTIONISM SCORES AND ANGER STATES OF TEACHER CANDIDATESKeywords: Mükemmeliyet?ilik,?fke,??retmen Adaylar? Abstract: This study examined the relationship between perfectionism and anger states of teacher candidates, and also to reveal whether perfectionism and anger states of teacher candidates differ according to sex and branches. A total of 87 women and 73 men participated in this study from Mersin who were preparing for examination “Public Servant Selection Test”. “The Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale” was used to determine the perfectionism and “The State - Trait Anger Scale” was used to evaluate the anger states of participants. Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Analysis and independent t-test was used to data. Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Analysis results indicated that a positive significant relationship between self oriented perfectionism and anger- control; negative significant relationship between other oriented perfectionism and anger-in; and also positive relationship between socially prescribed perfectionism and the anger subscales state anger, anger-in and anger-out. Additionally, independent t-test results revealed that men teacher canditades’ anger-in scores were higher than women’s. In conclusion, it can be said that the perfectionism as a personality character may affect anger behaviors of teacher candidates
