THE APPROACHES OF THE MUHA？？？ S？NAN EFEND？ TO THE SCIENTIFIC TAFSEER IN HIS WORK “HA？？YE ala TAFSEER al-QAD？”

Muha？？？ Sinan Efendi (d. 986/1578), due to his ha？iye/postscript on Qadi Beydawi’s commentary “Anwar al-Tanzil wa Asrar al-Tawil”, was became famous with the nickname “Muha？？i”. Muha？？？ Sinan has made some scientific approaches in his “Ha？iye ala Tafseer al-Qadi”. Thus, he has used scientific data which came to his period. Thus, in the Qur'an, the verses about cosmological, astronomical, geographic and biological issues are subjected to scientific commentary. For example, the Surah Al-Mulk verse 5 indicates that the stars are means of illumination like candle due to their own light. It also refers to the light beam in the context of the rays being burned. As a result, Muha？？？ Sinan in XVI. century while commenting the verses in the context of scientific Tafseer in his postscript to Baydawi, has some scientific explanations. In this study, the scientific findings of Ottoman conception of science in the period which he lived and their reflections in the context of scientific commentary to his ha？iye will be seen
