Holding Abstract: In this research, industrial diversification and internationalization strategies of the Dogus Holding business group were examined by a case study research design, and the logic of strategic behaviors of the group was tried to be revealed. The examples of the business group form, which is widely seen in the major business sectors in developing countries, are the diversified family holdings in Turkey. According to the findings of this research, which is based on theories that provide conceptual explanations to business groups in the context of developing countries, it is a reference to the presentation of the logic of the Group's diversification strategy with explanations that the three theoretical approaches in the literature review (institutional voids, political economics and resource-based view). The OLI Model, which explains the internationalization of businesses, has often been criticized for being inadequate in explaining the businesses in developing countries, and it has been argued that the LLL Model represents businesses in these countries more widely. When the Do?u? Group's internationalization is examined, it appears that OLI Model and Springboard Perspectives have come to the fore in explaining the rationale of internationalization. In this context, it can be said that Do?u? Group is not a typical developing-country-business-group. Looking at the researches of the business groups in the literature, it is rare to see studies that deal with diversification and internationalization strategies at the business group level simultaneously. Especially in Turkey the researches of business groups have been limited. For this reason, it is thought that the contribution of this research to the accumulation of scientific knowledge in the field is important. It may be said that the findings obtained especially as a result of the research provide a differentiating pattern from the theoretical explanations, making the research valuable in the context of originality
