EZEL SERIES IN CONTEXT OF TELEVISION-LITERATURE RELATION

Social and cultural effects of television that is invented in 20th century and became important element of daily life by spreading with technological developments especially in last quarter-century would be examined by researchers and philosophers. More particularly, it is thought that television damages the reading book habit and directly literature/culture. In a point, addition to this situation which confronts with us as a negative reality; literature/art thematic, promotive to read book broadcasts are also done in television channels even if they are little in percentage. In this article, we approach to Ezel series which is featured in Turkish television channels between 2009-2011 years as two seasons. In contrast to television detracts watchers from reading book via fun contented broadcasts; Ezel series stands in a different point from general television broadcasts by literature adscription and reading book emphasis.
