Analysis of The Studies on Economic Policies in Atatürk Period

In the year it was first founded, the Republic of Turkey has a very negative economic condition. The main reason for this is the high amount of debts taken from the Ottoman Empire. Additionally, the young population who lost their lives in wars negatively affected the workforce of the country. A number of economic policies have been implemented by Atatürk in order to reduce this economic downturn to the minimum level and enable the economic development of the country. The first of these policies, which can be examined in two different periods, is the open economy model covering the period between 1923 and 1929. Following this, there are state economic applications covering the period of 1929-1938. These economic policies implemented by Atatürk were very successful. This great success has also been the subject of many authors in the literature. In this study, the studies on the economic policies implemented during the period of Atatürk were analyzed. In this context, the details of some national and international articles are identified. As a result, it is seen that there is no historical study in which the monetary and fiscal policies of Atatürk were explained in detail. In addition to the mentioned issue, it is also thought that a new study which will make a statistical analysis by taking into account the numerical data of Atatürk's economic policies will contribute to the literature
