Inner Homelessness in K?rm?z? Azap by Ayfer Tun?Keywords: Ayfer Tun?,K?rm?z? Azap,i?sel vatans?zl?k,co?rafya, mekan, varolu? Abstract: Many stories in K?rm?za Azap by Ayfer Tun? include characters who are lonely, without love and family and lack support which gives meaning to their existence. At first look, geography surrounds them with its hard seasons and spaces which seem to intensify their inner depression. Nevertheless, when the stories are analyzed closely, it is realized that geography, by itself, is not the only reason for their pain. The characters suffering from pain are either in a city full of guilt, in a far away hick town or in the places that are in the depths of winter. Their pain originates from “inner homelessness”. This article discusses this notion by borrowing from Ulric Beck and Elisabeth Beck-Gernsheim through Ayfer Tun?’s characters. For these characters, bonding with a place is only possible if they find their other halves to complete themselves. A severe, oppressive love or evil thoughts are the ways those with inner homelessness cope. These make the characters feel alive and make sense of their existence. This article draws the conclusion that these stories with their unhappy, disappointing endings embody the pain, the boredom which is beyond geography
