The Role of the Mercy Education in Reducing Aggressive Behavior

Children sometimes behave in aggressive ways and sometimes it is difficult to understand the reasons behind it. Besides many approaches and research explaining the reasons for the aggression, there are also studies on how to reduce it. This study was conducted in order to understand whether the value of compassion would have an effect on reducing children's aggression. Two groups with similar socio-demographic characteristics were selected for implementation. The aggression scale was conducted before mercy education session wasn’t given and after giving eight these sessions to the experimental group. Aggression scale was also used in the control group. The difference between pre- test and post- test scores of both groups was calculated. While aggression score in the experimental group decreases, a difference hasn’t been detected in the control group
