The Circassian immigrants who were detached from the Caucasus in 1864 and were inhabited in various parts of them pire became part of the Ottoman society. The Circassians, who had their own tradition and life style, took their share of the political and social change in the Ottoman Empire at the beginning of the 20th century. In 1908, with the declaration of the second constitutional monarchy, a climate of political freedom prevailed. New societies, communities, schools opened. . There has been an unprecedented activity in the field of press and broad casting. Many magazines and newspapers have been published. Circassians also went to various organizations in this period and made important studies in the fields of culture, tradition and especially education. They have contributed to the education of the societies they founded and the organs of the societies, not only for the Circassians, but also for the whole Ottoman society. The Circassian Union and the Teavun Society and the publication organ of this society gave great importance to Guaze education. As the Circassian Teavun School, they founded a school of the same name. Later, Circassian Women, as the Association of the Congregation, the Circassian women who founded a community of the Circassian women published a magazine with the name Diyane. After that, they established the Circassian Sample School. This article will examine the position of Circassian immigrants in the Ottoman education system.
