Angelic Belief in Jahiliyyah Society in Pre-Quran

Qur’an has built a new belief and thought system by interfering with some of the ideas of the interlocuter/receiving mass in the period it was revealed. According to this, pre-Islamic period Arab society having a characteristic structure and the belief system of the interlocuter mass during the revelation period of the Qur’an is important for a better understanding of the divine message. In this context, the knowledge of the meaning of angel in pre-Islamic Arabic society will contribute to a better understanding of the criticisms Qur’an directs them in the context of shirk and blasphemy. This study primarily looks into the concept of jahiliyyah and how it is used in the Qur’an and then will try to determine the belief system of jahiliyyah society and the perception of angel in the pre-Islamic Arab society
