Effect of Different Medias on Sapling Growth in Organic Apricot Saplings Growing

Abstract:

According to "Regulation on Organic Farming Principles and Practices", it is emphasized that inputs and materials used in organic agriculture should be organic. The most important material used in the initial establishment of orchard is the sapling. This study has been carried out to determine conditions for organic and high quality apricot sapling production in apricot which is the important organic product of our country. In the study, Hac?halilo?lu apricot cultivar which is the most common growing in Malatya, was used and 5 different sapling growing media were selected as YC (green manure + farm manure), YO (green manure + organic fertilizer), YOH (green manure + organic fertilizer + humic acid), YOH? (green manure + organic fertilizer + humic acid + farm manure) and Conventional. At the end of the study, although the shoot length, the fresh weights of root and stem were found to be statistically significant, the effect of seed weight and diameter, root length, number of shoots, dry weight of the root and stem were statistically non - significant. From statistically significant criteria; conventional application with 65.59 cm in the length of the shoot, YOHC with 330.90 g in fresh weight of stem was statistically the first order. YOHC with 194.29 g and conventional application with 191.02 g in fresh weight of root were in the same statistical group. As a result of evaluations made in terms of soil properties and sapling development, YOHC (green manure + organic fertilizer + humic acid + farm manure) was suggested for sapling producer.
