Conversion of Conventional Banks into Islamic Banks and Evaluation about the Conversion Processes

With the increase of Islamic financial activities in recent years around the world, the conversion of conventional banks into Islamic banking has gained momentum. However, there is need for a general and comprehensive guideline for the conversion processess. The objective of this study is to contribute to a conversion literature and to help creation of awareness for the conversion of conventional banks into Islamic banks. In addition to literature review and providing information about conversion forms and main motivations. This study analyses also the Shariah requirements, required mechanisms and main stages of the different conversion processes
