The participants of the study were 43 graduate advisors working in Universities in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. In order to collect their views, we used Graduate Students Competencies of Scientific Research Skills Scale, developed by Büyük?ztürk and K?klü (1999). There are 33 questions in this three-point Likert type scale. The points are: None, partially, and fully. The study was conducted in survey model. According to results that the doctorate students are better in most of the skills, on the other hand master students are suffering from them in lack of competence. The detailed results were presented in the manuscript. We suggest realizing future research to seek better ways to nurture graduate students with scientific research skills and make causal comparative studies to find out better solutions for implication
