Determination of the susceptibility of some walnut varieties to anthracnose [Gnomonia leptostyla (Fr.) Ces. & De Not.] disease

Walnut anthracnose (Gnomonia leptostyla) is one of the most important diseases that reduces the quality and the yield in walnuts. It is spreading in walnut production areas in our country and in the world. The reason for the high prevalence of the disease in our country is its rapid spreading characteristic, the walnut varieties that are susceptible to the disease in our country and the climatic characteristics of the environment. This study was conducted in 2015 and 2016 in the Bey？ehir District of Konya. The orchard, which was inspected in the study, was established in 2008 with various walnut varieties (Chandler, Fernor, Kaman 1, Kaman 5, Yalova, Yavuz, ？ebin, Bilecik). The number and intensity of the symptoms of this disease on the fruits and leaves were followed by observing each week. As a result of the study, the most sensitive varieties were determined as Kaman 1 and Yavuz according to the density in the leaves, Kaman 1 and ？ebin according to the density on the fruit.
