An Inquiry of Musa Carullah Activities in The Context of Social Responsiblity of Intellectuals

Individual social responsibility; especially when it is handled together with intellectuals, drawing attention to problems of society, leading solutions for these problems, is a wide range of responsibilities that trying to enlighten the society. The social responsibility of an intellectual covers much more than a responsibility that an individual can take. This is because an intellectual, by the very fact of being an intellectual, feels some responsibilities on his/her shoulders. Social responsibility of an intellectual covers the development of the society, its well-being and wealth. These are the areas where an intellectual thinks over and even dedicates his/her own life to. In this regard, in this study acting from the frame of society responsibilties; the social responsibily of intellectuals has been discussed and Musa Carullah’s social responsibility understanding for the well-being and wealth of the Kazan society has been evaluated. Musa Carulah’s concerns on turks that remain a strong society in Russia, especially education, Involvement of women in the social life and thoughts about non-Russification of Turks has been discussed.
