Tire Abrasion Test With Patinary Method

In this study, the role and importance of tires which are one of the highest rate of vehicle defects in traffic accidents in the world and in our country are examined. In addition, the factors affecting the life span of the article are emphasized, and tire wear has been investigated by friction between the tire and the road. In the second part of the article with this information; 2 different pulleys and 2KW electric motors were used at different pressures (28 psi-30 psi-32 psi), at 1100 rpm.The electric motors were operated by means of a belt pulley (10 kg - 20 kg - 30 kg), and were operated between certain seconds (15 seconds - 30 seconds - 45 seconds). Tires exposed to different loadings with different durations, and how much the tire was worn out in terms of the percentage of the tire to be given a skid, were calculated and tables and graphs were created. As a result, in order to prevent accidents and to ensure vehicle safety, tire selection, maintenance and service life have been determined
