Developmental Problems That High School Students ExperienceKeywords: Geli?imsel sorunlar,Lise, lise ??rencileri,?l?ek geli?tirme Abstract: This study was conducted as two sessions. In the first session the aim was to develop a reliable and valid measurement scale that determines high school students’ experienced developmental problems. In the second session, using Developmental Problem Areas Scale (DPAS), it was aimed to investigate the developmental problems that high school students experience in terms of some demographic varibles. 1136 high school students were included in the study. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis were used in order to determine the scale’s construct validity. After the Exploratory factor analysis, 27 items and 7 subdimensions generated. Total variance rate and total eigenvalue that the scale explains are %70.4 and %19 respectively. Factor loadings of items in the scale vary between .57 and .88. Construction’s /sd rate that was obtained using factor analysis was determined to be sufficient for modal conformity, after evaluating CFI, GFI, RMR/SRMR, RMSEA fit indeces. Cronbach’s Alpha coefficients that were used to determine scale’s subdimensions’ reliability, coefficients vary between .70 and .86. As a result, DPAS was assessed to be a valid and reliable measurement scale to determine high school students’ developmental problems. Therefore the first session was completed. In the second session, anger expression, test anxiety and academic success/unsuccess problems were found to be in the first place, and women experienced developmental problems more than men
