From Social Segregation to Debates of Citizenship: Syria Urban RefugeesKeywords: Kent Mültecileri,Toplumsal Ayr??ma,Suriye,Vatanda?l?k Abstract: After the civil war that started in Syria in 2011, approximately ? of the population of the country was forced to migrate to the neighboring countries for fear of life safety. Turkey is at the head of these countries. Due to Turkey's "open door" policy, about 3.5 million Syrians migrated to Turkey, along with the unregistered ones, during the following six years. Since millions of Syrians have entered massively the multicultural sociological structure of the country, some problems have emerged at the point of social acceptance, because citizenship rights have been granted to Syrians before sufficient work has been done for integration. This situation may cause problems to deepen. In this study, the problems of Syrian urban refugees and the way of looking at Turkish citizenship will be discussed through the field surveys
