Comparison of the Turkic World Destinations Tourism Sector Effectiveness

Main purpose of this study to compare the effectiveness of the Turkic Countries which are the pioneers as a touristic destination. Although evaluation of effectiveness is a popular subject in tourism, there is a few study about to compare of the countries effectiveness. It is result of the countries have different tourism sources which can not evaluate easly and comparable. This study suggest a model which can be used for compare the countries tourism effectiveness. In this study, seven Turkish countries tourism effectiveness are evaluated and compared whit each other with using four inputs and two outputs variables. The number of the employes in tourism, tourism Infrastructure, cultural resources, natural resources are used as input variables and number of the tourist, tourism revenue are used as outputs variables. Data is collected from the reports which published by the credible international organizations like WEF, UNWTO and WTTC. ESM-VT technique which is based on Data Envelopment Analysis and TOPSIS is used for evaluate effectiveness and ranking the countries by their effectiveness scores. As a results relevent Turkic countries effectiveness ranking is that 1.Turkey, 2.Azerbaijan, 3.Mongolia, 4.Kirghizstan, 5.Kazakhstan and the last one is Tajikistan
