Smart Grid Components and Structural Simulation

The Smart Grid which is a new generation of electricity transmission, distribution and automation systems, is designed for the purpose of creating an automated energy distribution network using the versatile flow of electricity and associated information technology. Instead of traditional networks that provide a central, unidirectional energy flow and can not respond to today's energy distribution and usage as desired, intelligent network designs are being developed that can proactively respond to powerful, instantaneous energy consumption and reduce energy losses and improve efficiency. In this study, an overview of the existing network structures has been made and the applications of the smart grid system were explained. The operations of the wind, solar and natural gas plants have been simulated by the Homer Software and good coordination with each other were observed
