OTTOMAN SHIP DEPICTIONS IN NATIONAL PALACE OF SINTRA IN PORTUGAL

It is possible to find traces of Ottoman Empire in many regions of Europe. Being a state that empowers from day to day, Ottoman Empire became famous in Europe. Another feature that Europeans was impressed by was the naval power of Ottomans. Military and political victories gained in particular periods affected European artists of that period as well. Ottoman theme can be witnessed in various art branches. Ottoman ships are found in mural paintings on ceilings of Galley Saloon of National palace in Sintra, Portugal.
