Location Selection for Agricultural Investments: A Case Study for Apricot Orchard Investment in Malatya ProvinceKeywords: Tar?msal yat?r?m,kurulu? yeri,kay?s?,analitik hiyerar?i süreci Abstract: Selection of location has a significant impact on the success of agricultural farms. Increased production in agricultural farms and ensuring high profitability is affected by the conditions of location. Fruit-producing agricultural farms are dependent on climatic conditions as they depend on economic conditions. The aim of this study is to determine the most suitable location for the investment of apricot orchards in Malatya province of Turkey. The data of the study was obtained from the surveys conducted with 159 apricot producers in Ak?ada?, Darende and Merkez districts of Malatya province. In the analytical hierarchy process analysis, it was found that Ak?ada? was the first in terms of land cost and location, energy and water proximity, agricultural frost risk, suitable precipitation level and soil structure
