The comparative research on fall risk between the elderly living alone and not living aloneDOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.14725/gjnr.v4n3a1524 Abstract: Objective: To evaluate and analyze condition of fall and the risk factors between the elderly living alone and the elderly not living alone in the community of Tianjin. Methods: Making a questionnaire survey to 78 elderly people with the MFROP-Com. Results: The results of evaluation about MFROP-Com showed that 13.9% of the elderly living alone had a fall risk of moderate or above. The topic of the highest score of MFROP-Com about the elderly living alone include the degree of physical activity, disease of affecting balance and flexibility, the type of medicine which can lead to fall, the evaluation of household renovation, and abnormal vision. Conclusion: Compare with the elderly not living alone, the elderly living alone can’t get care after falling. The community should pay more attention to the elderly living alone in order to prevent or reduce the occurrence of falls
