Regulation of Syntaxin 17 during Autophagosome Maturation

During macroautophagy, cytosolic elements are confined in autophagosomes before fusion with endolysosomes for degradation or recycling. Recruitment of the SNARE (soluble N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor attachment protein receptor) factor syntaxin 17 (STX17) is instrumental for this maturation step.
