China: Between the dream and the utopia

The purpose of this essay is to advocate that the formidable economic growth that China has experienced in the most recent decades is both inspired and established upon the foundation of the “Chinese dream”. This purpose corresponds to a process of great encouragement that has deep roots and is anchored in the history and Chinese culture. Based on recent and relevant academic literature that provides new perspectives and that raises new enquiries, it seeks to draw the attention of researchers to enrich the debate on what China means for the world at this time. In this sense, what is sought to be raised is the opening of a range of doubts and questions that allow us to advance in the understanding of this reality
