Argentina, Indonesia: strengthening trade relations and political awakening of interest in the context of South-South strategyKeywords: Argentina foreign policy, Indonesia, South-South relations, diversification, foreign trade, political economy Abstract: Southeast Asia has started to hold a more relevant place in South America’s foreign agendas, and Argentina is no exception in this trend. In fact, SEA markets participation in the country’s external trade has increased since 2003. In this paper we aim to explore the development of Argentina-Indonesia relations since 2000 onward, analyzing the deepening of trade exchanges, the adjustments in the bilateral strategies and possible future scenarios from a South-South perspective.
