Asphalts’ aging phenomenon

This work presents a state of the art revision of the results from studies of asphalt aging found by researchers aimed at deepening understanding of this complex phenomenon. The background shows the evolution of asphalt aging, initially considering it as physical hardening and progressively ecognizing it as a complex phenomenon having repercussions on asphalt durability and physical-chemical properties.
