Introduction of Western Ideology During the Late Ming and Early QingDOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.3968/10165 Keywords: Catholic missionaries, Western ideology, Introduction Abstract: Western Ideology such as philosophy, religion and allegory was introduced into China by the Catholic missionaries during the Late Ming and Early Qing. When introducing Christianity and theology of the Middle Ages, the Catholic missionaries introduced the characters of early western thoughts at the same time. It was beneficial to the Chinese scholars both in understanding the multiplicity of the world cultures and in improving their thinking methods.
